Peer Support is where people who share common experiences or face similar challenges in their lives, come together to receive help and share the knowledge they have gained through their own life experiences to help others to live a better quality of life.
Our Peer Support Group is ran by volunteers of the Autistic Spectrum Collective who want to give autistic people a place where they can talk about their life issues in a safe, comfortable environment without feeling ashamed or embarrassed about these issues.
Those who attend the group will be around other autistic people including the volunteers who have life experience of living with autism so no one is alone and everyone is willing to listen as everyone in the group has been through those experiences. If you want help with your issues or just want to learn from how other autistic people deal with/live with their condition, then this is where you should be.
The Peer Support Group runs from 1pm to 1:30pm at every ASC Drop-In Session. Afterwards, you can attend the ASC Drop-In as normal.
